Background of Institution

New Era College is a non-profit tertiary level educational institution managed by Dong Jiao Zong and supported by the whole Chinese community in Malaysia. Dong Jiao Zong are the two organizations which look after the Chinese schools of Malaysia.

Our vision is "to be one of the finest community run tertiary level institutions in the world", while our mission is "to nurture holistic, cultured, competent professionals who lead socially responsible lives". New Era education embodies community consciousness, creativity, critical thinking and a caring attitude.

The college combines the essence of Eastern and Western teachings. We have links with top universities in China, Taiwan, United Kingdom, USA, Australia and New Zealand where our students have graduated. One of New Zealand's leading universities, Victoria University of Wellington has been in partnership with New Era College since our opening day in 1998. At the same time, students can prepare for the China market by picking up Mandarin Chinese at our Kajang campus.

We believe in academic autonomy and students' self-government. Our lecturers are highly qualified and committed to the college vision and mission while our students are encouraged to take part in their students' union and societies.

Programme Outline

Programmes offered include degree-level, and pre-university courses in Business.

Business Studies has the following majors ? Management, accounting, marketing, finance, E-commerce, human resource management & industrial relations, international business.

We also provide the following services: A counseling centre; further studies guidance and job placement. New Era College offers 300 scholarships of various categories based on merit and need and our commitment to national integration and multiculturalism.

Academic Facilities

The college has a 13-floor hostel with en suite accommodation; 24-hour security system and internet service.

Our academic facilities include a 3-level library with more than 100,000 volumes; 700-seat auditorium; 2 lecture halls; 25 classrooms; 6 computer labs; multimedia studio; 1000-person multi-purpose hall

Recreational facilities include basketball, volleyball, tennis and badminton courts; a football field; gymnasium; snooker and table tennis tables; a lotus garden.
