Background of Institution

Universiti Kuala Lumpur British Malaysian Institute (UniKL BMI) is the result of a smart partnership between Malaysia and Britain in 1998. Malaysia, as represented by MARA,provides the infrastructure and manpower whereas Britain provides the support and expertise from distinguished companies such as BAE SYSTEMS, British Airways, StandardChartered Bank (M) Sdn. Bhd., Rolls Royce and various educational institutions in England. Malaysians’ desire to learn and British’ willingness to share their vast knowledgeand expertise has certainly created a world class centre for engineering and technical education.
