Management and Science University Career and Lifelong Learning Education Fair (MSUCEF) 2025 is the testament to the University’s strong commitment to graduate employability and industry-academic collaboration.
MSUCEF, an annual endeavour by MSU Academy, serves as an all-encompassing platform for employers, recruiters, and educational institutions to connect, collaborate, and share insights on career development and employment opportunities.
The fair is supported by MSU’s strong industry linkages and draws talent from diverse fields, including health sciences, business, information technology, engineering, education, hospitality, and more.
MSUCEF 2025 is a timely initiative that champions the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) agenda, with a structured approach aimed at producing skilled, future-ready graduates equipped for guaranteed employment.
Taking place from August 1 to 2 at the Chancellor's Hall of MSU's main campus in Shah Alam, the fair featured walk-in interviews, industrial talks, lifelong learning and upskilling sessions, live enrolment, and on-the-spot career guidance, with over 3,000 job opportunities across a range of sectors.
Through a live exhibition by BYD Malaysia, visitors experienced the latest innovation in electric vehicles. Furthermore, industry experts from FuturiseU, HRD Corp, Angkatan Tentera Malaysia (ATM), EYTC Group and Resources Sdn Bhd, Ensign Infosecurity (M) Sdn Bhd, Kiddocare, Ormond Group, and FWD Takaful participated in on-the-ground and online sharing sessions.
With 102 industry participants, this year’s fair bridges connections between employers and future talent through two primary platforms: 50 industries with physical booths and 62 industries via the JobMatch portal.
Participating industries include Automotive & Mobility: BYD Malaysia, Perusahaan Otomobil Nasional Sdn. Bhd. (PROTON); Finance & Insurance: Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN), FWD Takaful Berhad, Manulife Insurance, Prudential BSN Takaful, Zurich Takaful; Hospitality & Tourism: Banyan Tree Kuala Lumpur, Pavilion Hotel Kuala Lumpur, Ormond Group, Amar Travel & Tours; Retail & Services: HomePro Malaysia, Alpro Pharmacy, KiddoCare, Kampung Salai; Technology & IT Security: Toshiba Tec Malaysia, Ensign InfoSecurity, IT Business Solutions; ?Education & Early Childhood: Kinderbebe, KinderKaizen, Sri Aria School; Logistics & Manufacturing: BJC Foods, TASCO Berhad, Flexi Freight; Consultancy & Government Agencies: Angkatan Tentera Malaysia, TalentCorp, HRD Corp, PERKESO, GITC, Madani Research Centre, MG Career Crafters, Commerce Dot Com; and Job Placement & Career Platforms: JobStreet by SEEK, Talentbank, and Zeneration.
MSU also welcomed 400 external visitors from five vocational colleges: Kolej Vokasional (KV) Banting, KV Gombak, KV Kajang, KV Sepang, KV Temerloh, and KV Klang; one community college: Kolej Komuniti Segamat (Johor); one polytechnic: Politeknik Sultan Idris Shah; one local public university: Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia; one local private university: IJN University College; and fresh graduates from universities in the United Kingdom and the United States of America, a coordinated achievement through Madani Research Centre (MRC).
MSU’s industry ecosystem is made up of robust local and global partnerships. Joining over 3,000 industries on board and strengthening industry-academia partnerships are eight organisations from the research, education, hospitality, and tourism sectors.
To further reflect the commitment to career development, lifelong learning, and sustainability, MSU exchanged Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with MRC, EYTC Group and Resources Sdn Bhd (Sri Aria Junior College), Busy Bees Asia, Sekolah Kebangsaan Bukit Tampoi (Asli), Sekolah Kebangsaan Bukit Cheding (Asli), Blooming Tots, Kiddocare, and Key Term Holidays Sdn Bhd.?
Officiating the ceremony was Professor Tan Sri Dato’ Wira Dr. Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid, the President and Founder of MSU, accompanied by Dato' Sharifah Huda Engku Muda, Senior VP for Administration & Human Capital; Dato Rosli Yusof, the Senior Vice President for Endowment and Communication; Professor Dr. Abdul Jalil Ghazali, Senior VP for Industry Linkages & Entrepreneurship; and Siti Amzidalina Ghazali, the Director of MSU Academy.
“The synergy between academia and industry is a vital pillar of nation-building, driven by commercialisation, talent development, research, and community engagement. We serve as a source of ideas and the skills needed, aligning with the growing demand for TVET graduates,” remarked Professor Dr. Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid, as he expressed his gratitude to industry partners for their continued dedication to MSU.
A special podcast episode featured Professor Dr. Abdul Jalil Ghazali; Mohd Azmi Mat Nayan, CEO of MRC; and Dr. Putri Afzan Maria, founder of Sri Aria School.
The dynamic discussion bridged the intersecting spheres of early childhood education, higher education, and policymaking. Topics ranged from alternative education models centred on cognitive flexibility and their potential to drive national economic growth to the importance of cultivating interpersonal and digital skills in response to the evolving demands of modern industries, all aligned with the advancement of human capital.
