UPU Intake 2025/26 for STPM Holders Announced – 78,883 Seats Offered

A total of 109,866 STPM holders have applied through the UPU open system, which offers 1,132 bachelor’s degree courses for selection. Admission to public universities is based on merit. Today (5/9/25), UPU announced an intake of 78,883 STPM holders, representing 71.8% of the total applicants.

The offers of placement for the 2025/2026 Academic Session are final. Applications for a change of study programme or university will not be permitted. The consideration of appeals will be subject to the availability of places in the respective programmes after the completion of new student registration.

Confirmation of acceptance or rejection of the offer is to be made from 6 September 2025 to 14 September 2025 on the respective university websites. The official offer letter will be issued by the universities to successful candidates starting 6 September 2025, once candidates have confirmed their acceptance of the offer within the stated period. Only applicants who did not receive an offer may submit an appeal application through UPUOnline? for admission into public universities at within 10 days, from 5 September 2025 at 12.00 noon until 14 September 2025 at 5.00 p.m.
