
Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2018

The Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2018 reveals a list of 1000 top universities from 77 countries, representing no more than 5 per cent of the 20,000 higher education institutions in the world.
The rankings use 13 carefully calibrated performance indicators to provide the most comprehensive and balanced comparisons available, using a performance table to judge world class universities across all of their core missions – teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.
Here are the top 10 universities for this year’s rankings:

In Malaysia, nine universities were listed in the rankings with Universiti Malaya (351-400) as the top-ranking university in the country. Two private universities were listed for the first time—Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) and Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN).
