The Sabah State Government invites applications for the BKNS Scholarship 2026 for students pursuing Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, and Master’s programmes.
This scholarship is open to Malaysian citizens, provided that at least one parent is a Sabah native and currently resides in Sabah.
Scholarship Categories
1. TYT Yang Dipertua Negeri Sabah Scholarship
- Level: Bachelor’s Degree
- Requirement: Minimum 9A in SPM and CGPA 4.0 (Foundation / A-Level / equivalent)
- Study Location: Overseas
2. Sabah State Excellent Scholarship
- Level: Bachelor’s Degree
- Requirement: STPM CGPA 4.0 (single sitting or equivalent)
- Study Location: Local and Overseas
3. BKNS Perdana Scholarship
- Diploma Level: Minimum 5 credits in SPM including Bahasa Melayu
- Bachelor’s Degree: CGPA 3.0 (Diploma / STPM / Foundation / equivalent)
- Master’s Degree: CGPA 3.5 in Bachelor’s Degree
- Medical (Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy): Minimum CGPA 3.8 (Local only)
- Study Location: Local institutions
