Overview
Yayasan KLK, a foundation established by Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad (KLK), offers scholarships to high-achieving young Malaysians studying or admitted to Malaysian institutions of higher learning. Scholars’ progress is monitored, and practical training within the Group is expected. Upon graduation, scholars may be offered employment within KLK or its business units.
Scholarship Value
- Public universities: RM13,000 per academic year
- Private universities: RM20,000 per academic year
Preferred Fields of Study
- Agriculture (e.g. Agriculture Science, Horticulture Science, Plant Biology, Plant Resources, Agriculture Biosystem Engineering, Agrotechnology and related disciplines)
- Plantation Management, Forestry and related disciplines
- Agribusiness
- Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation)
- Information Technology (Computer Science, Software Engineering and related disciplines)
Eligibility
- Malaysian citizen
- Good command of English (written and spoken)
- Active participation in extracurricular activities
- Confirmed offer from a Malaysian institution of higher learning
- Not bonded, not holding other scholarships, and not receiving assistance from any organisation
- Prepared to serve a 3-year employment bond with the Group at any location upon graduation
