Course Overview

This APU Diploma in Psychology is designed to provide:

  • Students a rigorous grounding in the science of human behaviour, with a focus on contemporary psychological themes such as mental health, neurodiversity, and cross-cultural understanding in a global context.

Achievement

Entry Requirements

General Requirements

SPM

  • 3 credits in any subject at SPM level and a pass in Mathematics and Biology/ Physics/ Chemistry/ General Science/ Applied Science*; or

STPM

  • A pass in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with a minimum of Grade C (GP 2.00) in any subject and a pass in Mathematics and Biology/ Physics/ Chemistry/ General Science/ Applied Science* at SPM level; or

STAM

  • A pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum grade of Maqbul and a pass in Mathematics and Biology/ Physics/ Chemistry/ General Science/ Applied Science at SPM level; or

CERTIFICATE

  • A Certificate (Level 3, Malaysian Qualification Framework, MQF) in the relevant fields with at least CGPA of 2.00 and a pass in Mathematics and Biology/ Physics/ Chemistry/ General Science/ Applied Science at SPM level; or

SKM

  • A pass in Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) Level 3, MQF in the relevant field. (A screening will be conducted and provision for appropriate bridging courses in Mathematics and Biology/Physics/ Chemistry/General Science/Applied Science); or

Other relevant equivalent qualifications recognised by Malaysian government as equivalent to the above requirements.

A qualification that APU accepts as equivalent to the above. 

Credit in English is required at SPM/IGCSE/O-Level or equivalent.
