Course Overview

The Diploma of Medical & Health Science programme at UoC is a three years course (6 semesters) that provides students with a wealth of knowledge in patient care allowing them to seek a career as Assistant Medical Officers in public hospitals.

Entry Requirements

SPM

Pass with minimum 5 credits in the following subjects:

• Bahasa Malaysia
• Science subjects:
  • Biology or Chemistry; OR
  • Physics with a pass in Biology; OR
  • General Science / Applied Science
• Mathematics or Additional Mathematics
• 2 (two) other subjects

AND pass in English

UEC

Pass with minimum Grade B in 3 subjects:

• Science subjects:
  • Biology or
    Chemistry; OR
    Physics with a pass
    in Biology; OR
• Mathematics / Advanced Mathematics
• General Science

O-Level/IGCSE

Pass with minimum 5 credits in the following subjects:

• Two (2) credits from Science or Mathematics subject (Biology/ Physics/Chemistry/General Science);
• Three (3) from any other subjects; AND
• Pass in English

OR Candidates with other relevant qualifications are subject to approval by the MAB

Certificate in Health related field

Certificate in Health-related field recognised and approved by the MAB AND minimum of 3 credits in the following subjects:

• Science subjects:
  • Biology or Chemistry; OR
  • Physics with a pass in Biology; OR
  • General Science
• Mathematics or Additional Mathematics

For International Students Only

English Proficiency for International Students: Minimum IELTS score of 4.0 or equivalent
