Course Overview

The Bachelor of Nursing (Hons) programme at UoC is a comprehensive four-year course (8 semesters) designed to prepare students to become competent professional nursing graduates. This nursing degree equips students with critical thinking and decision-making skills, enabling them to function effectively in diverse healthcare settings.

The curriculum focuses on priority areas to meet the health needs of individuals, families, communities, and the population as a whole in the 21st century. Students will engage in a blend of theoretical and practical learning experiences, ensuring they are well-prepared for the challenges and opportunities in the nursing profession.

Entry Requirements

Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia

Pass Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) or equivalent with minimum CGPA 2.5; OR Pass ‘A’ Level minimum Grade C in three (3) other subjects; OR

Matriculation/Foundation

Pass Matriculation/Foundation with minimum CGPA 2.5; OR

Diploma

Pass any Diploma with minimum CGPA 2.5 (No credit transfer) equivalent MQF Level 4; OR

Diploma in Nursing

Pass Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution by MNB with minimum two (2) years & clinical working experience. (Credit transfer allowed)

For International Students Only

IELTS with a minimum of 5.5/TOEFL with a minimum score of 515/215/80

All candidates who possess STPM, 'A' Level, Matriculation and pass in Diploma EXCEPT for Diploma in Nursing MUST possess:

Either one (1) of the credits below:

Science/Biology/Chemistry/Physics/Applied Science at SPM vel or its equivalent.

AND

Credit in Mathematics (Elementary or Additional or Modern) at SPM level or equivalent.

AND

MUET with a minimum of Band 3/IELTS with a minimum of 5.5/TOEFL with a minimum score of 515/215/80/Credit in English SPM

 

Other

All candidates with local qualifications MUST possess credit in Bahasa Malaysia in SPM (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia).

All candidates who possesses a GCE O/A-Levels MUST possess a credit in Bahasa Malaysia.
