Entry Requirements
General Requirements
SPM
Applicants must possess the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with at least the following results:
- Grade C in Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Melayu (July Paper).
- Grade E in Sejarah (History) starting from the 2013 examination year.
AND
STPM
Applicants must pass the Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with at least the following:
- A minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.00.
- Grade C in General Studies (Pengajian Am).
- TWO (2) Grade C passes in any other subjects not already counted.
AND
MUET
Applicants must obtain at least Band 1.0 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for examinations starting from Session 1, 2021, with results valid for five (5) years from the date the results are released.
Special Requirements
- Obtain a minimum STPM CGPA of 3.00.
- Obtain at least Grade B in ONE (1) of the following subjects at STPM level:
- Syariah
- Usuluddin
- Arabic Language
- Obtain at least Grade B in ONE (1) of the following subjects at SPM level:
- Islamic Education
- Moral Education
- Maharat Al-Quran
- Manahij Al-‘Ulum Al-Islamiah
- Al-Quran and Al-Sunnah Education
- Al-Syariah
- Hifz Al-Quran
- Islamic Shariah Education
- Tasawwur Islam
- Turath Al-Quran and Al-Sunnah
- Turath Dirasat Islamiah
- Usul Al-Din
- Obtain at least Grade C in ONE (1) of the following subjects at SPM level:
- Arabic Language
- Higher Arabic Language
- Arabic Language (Communication)
- Al-Lughah Al-Arabiah Al-Mu’asirah
- Turath Arabic Language
- Al-Adab Wa Al-Balaghah
- Obtain at least Band 2.5 in MUET for results obtained from Session 1, 2021 onwards, with results valid for five (5) years from the date of release.
Notes
Candidates who are accepted and register as students must sit for English and Arabic language proficiency tests administered by IIUM (UIAM).
Students must meet the required language proficiency levels before being allowed to proceed with their studies at the Kulliyyah / Faculty level.
