Management and Science University (MSU) has launched its School of Veterinary Medicine (SOV), making it the first private university in Malaysia to offer the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) programme. This initiative addresses the growing demand for veterinary professionals whose roles today extend beyond clinical practice to include animal welfare, food safety, and the agricultural supply chain.
The programme is supported by MSU’s International Medical School (IMS) and features collaboration with key industry players such as Vet Partners (M) Sdn Bhd, Teguh Setia Jaya, and AGK Dairy Fresh Sdn Bhd. With guidance from experienced academic staff and veterinary specialists, students will be equipped with the knowledge and skills required to excel in the veterinary profession.
The establishment of the School of Veterinary Medicine reflects MSU’s commitment to advancing veterinary education, research, and professional standards in line with global practices. Students will gain exposure not only to clinical training but also to veterinary research, policy, and industry engagement.
