This programme provides a wide spectrum of knowledge and skills required for a career in the accountancy and finance profession. The curriculum covers key areas such as financial accounting & reporting, sustainability reporting, management accounting & control, accounting information systems, audit & assurance, public sector accounting, taxation, corporate governance, and professional values & ethics.
Graduates can claim exemptions from the following: - ACCA: All 9 papers of ACCA Fundamentals - CIMA: 14 out of 16 papers of CIMA - ICAEW: 8 out of 15 papers of the ACA examination - CPA Australia: All 6 CPA Foundation Exams - MICPA: 4 out of 12 papers of MICPA x CA ANZ - CTIM: 5 out of 8 papers |

(1) STPM - Minimum Grade C+ in 2 relevant subjects (2) A Level - Minimum Grade D in 2 relevant subjects (3) UEC - Grade B in 5 relevant subjects (4) TAR UMT - Foundation in Business with minimum CGPA 2.5000 AND SPM Credit/O Level Grade C in Mathematics/UEC Grade B in one mathematics subject## OR Relevant Diploma with minimum CGPA 2.5000^ (5) Other IHL - Relevant Foundation (with minimum CGPA 2.5000)/ Diploma (with minimum CGPA 2.5000^) accredited by MQA Compulsory subjects: (1), (2), (3) and (5) must include - i) SPM Credit/ O Level Grade C in Mathematics###/ UEC Grade B in one mathematics subject## ii) SPM Pass/ O Level Grade E (Pass)/ UEC Grade C in English Language** **Grade C and above in English Language conducted by TAR UMT is accepted as having fulfilled the English Language requirement for applicants who fail English Language at SPM/O Level/UEC. ##Grade C and above in General Mathematics conducted by TAR UMT is accepted as having fulfilled the mathematics requirement for applicants with a pass in SPM/Grade D or Grade E (Pass) in O Level/Grade C in UEC in the required Mathematics subject. ^Graduates from Diploma in Accounting field or equivalent with CGPA 2.0001-2.4999 may be admitted subject to passing a through rigorous assessment Note: a) Students without a credit in SPM Bahasa Melayu are required to pass Bahasa Kebangsaan A before the award of Bachelor Degree. b) TAR UMT Diploma will be accepted on credit transfer into Bachelor Degree programmes. c) Equivalent qualifications/qualifications from other Institution of Higher Learning (IHL) will be considered on a case-by-case basis. d) Subject to the Ministry of Education latest requirements. |
