This 3-year programme emphasises high technology production and manufacturing of polymers and composites. Students will be given an option to specialise in either Material Technology or Product and Process Technology. With Computer Aided Design/Engineering/Manufacturing application, students will understand product design and the analysis of polymer flow. At the end of this programme, students must undertake a three-month attachment programme within the polymer industry.
SPM+STPM+MUET or its equiv.
Career opportunities are in abundance in this field. Graduates may be employed in either material or product manufacturing companies, where career opportunities range from production managers, operation managers, quality assurance managers to research officers.
Opportunities for Further Studies
Graduates from this programme may be able to follow a Master’s Degree programme in various fields offered by tertiary institutions, either locally or abroad.
