Course Overview

Bachelor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EE200) start offered to graduates from UiTM Diploma in Electrical Engineering in March 2013. The program is run on the campus of UiTM Pulau Pinang. The 8 semesters (4 years) program also open to graduates of Matriculation and STPM in 2016. The students who graduate will be awarded the degree of B.Eng (Hons) Electrical & Electronics Engineering. Graduates holding this degree can register with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) as a Graduate Engineer in Electrical discipline.

Entry Requirements

Pass SPM level or equivalent with good results

• Credit in Bahasa Melayu/ Bahasa Malaysia at SPM level or equivalent
• Malaysian University English Test (MUET) Level 2
• Not colour blind

STPM:

• Minimum CGPA of 2.75 and
• Achieve at least Grade B- (2.67) in any two (2) subjects from the following:
  • Mathematics (T)/Further Mathematics (T)
  • Physics/Biology
  • Chemistry

Matriculation / UiTM Science Foundation / UM Science Foundation

• Minimum CGPA of 2. 75 and
• Achieve at least Grade B- (2.67) in any two (2) subjects and Grade C (2.00) in any one (1) subject from the following:
  • Mathematics/Engineering Mathematics
  • Physics/Biology/Engineering Physics
  • Chemistry/Engineering Chemistry

Diploma from UiTM:

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering from UiTM with a CGPA of 2.5 or
• Diploma in Electrical Engineering from UiTM with a CGPA of 2.3 and 2 years experience or
• Diploma in a relevant field from UiTM with a CGPA of 2.75 or
• Pre-Degree in engineering or equivalent with CGPA 2.75

Diploma from other Institutions:

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering with a CGPA of 3.00 or
• Diploma in Electrical Engineering with a CGPA of 2.5 and 2 years experience? or
• Diploma in a relevant field with a CGPA of 3.00

• Diploma graduates from institutions recognized by the Malaysian Government can apply for credit transfer / exemption.

APEL Candidates

• Pass MQA (aptitude test and portfolio evaluation)
• At least 23 years old in the year of application
• Work experience in the related field for at least seven (7) years
• Pass SPM / equivalent and pass:
  • Mathematics and Additional Mathematics
  • Physic / Chemistry / Science / Additional Science
  • English
