Yamaha Academy of Arts & Music was established in 1996 to provide holistic education for the music industry and to enrich lives through the joy of music. Yamaha Academy comes under the umbrella of its parent company Yamaha Music Malaysia. The Academy is also affiliated with an international leading music company, Yamaha Music in providing opportunity in career advancement.
The Academy consists of professional academicians, both foreign and local graduates with diverse experience. One of the advantages of this programme is that the lecturers are able to be attentive to the students individually and even in group classes.
Students are able to exchange their knowledge and experience with each other because of the way the programme is structured. At our faculty we have many studios that can be used for practice and all are well equipped with instruments. We provide a wide range of music facilities such as the Yamaha Festival Hall where student recitals, concerts and master classes are held.
To be a leader in providing holistic education for the music industry and enriching lives through the joy of music.
To provide music education and professional music skills that prepare students to develop the musical skills, knowledge, understanding and resources which will enable them to contribute significantly in their musical career.
YAAM is reputed to have an outstanding teaching faculty. All teaching staff possess master’s degrees and PhD.
