The reason I am here is that it is affordable compared to other colleges and the quality of education here is high. The lecturers are like my mentors. They not only coach me to be more knowledgeable in IT world, but also gave me the confidence to become an out-spoken and confident person. FIFE is also located in the heart of the city and nearby amenities such as the bowling alley, shopping complexes and cafes are essentials for students to chill out in between classes. “Apa khabar?.” That is ‘ how are you?’ in Bahasa Malaysia, the national language of Malaysia. My name is Liu Bin, I find that life in Malaysia has made me feel at home. I am living at the hostel accommodation provided by the institute. I have learnt independence, responsibility and time management. Meeting and mingling with the locals and other international students is interesting and fun and I get to know different cultures. Business course has been very exciting and stimulating. It has combination of academic theory, business knowledge and skills development. I chose Flamingo Institute because I heard that the lecturers here give full attention to the students. It’s like having personal tutorial all the way. Flamingo Institute has approximately 20 students in one class. Therefore, the lecturers are able to give more personal attention to our learning. Some of my friends have pursued their Business courses elsewhere. Compared to them, I found that I am as competitive as they are. Personally, I think I am better than them. Hi! My name is Francisca Augustine, I am from Indonesia. I am proud to say that I am a FIFE student. I am currently pursuing my Diploma in Hotel & Catering Management. My friends in Indonesia recommended FIFE to me. They said that FIFE is well-known for its Hotel & Catering Management courses. When I first came to the school, I saw a hotel bedroom, hotel reception counter and a café. I went straight to the hotel reception counter, thinking that a hotel receptionist will attend to me. Later, I learnt that these facilities are only mock-ups for students to acquire hands on practical training. It is interesting to know how to make a bed and the right way to serve customers. This course has not only helped me to achieve my dream to become an hotelier, it has taught me the basic things in life, for example-the correct way of making bed. Overall, I really enjoy my studies here. There was never a dull moment for me.
