The OBU Computing programme has taught me the skills needed for today’s IT industry. Furthermore, I learned about how to manage larger tasks and projects methodically, as experienced during my involvement with the numerous projects in the Computing programme.

I have helpful lecturers and enjoy learning about circuits and how electricity moves. I like the campus atmosphere and the people here are open-minded.

I preferred to study accounting and finance although there were also engineering and science courses here. I plan to complete my degree entirely in Nilai UC. The programme I am studying is challenging especially the group assignments which is something I have never done before. I am involved in the swimming club, Nilai African Students Association and athletic club. I am also a student counselor. Being involved in these extracurricular activities is challenging but I can also get to know more people.

I have learnt that the most important thing in a person’s life is respect for another person regardless of where one is from.

Nilai UC is the place to be to pursue my higher education because of its pleasant environment, cultural mix and opportunities for me to learn more from others. The facilities that are most useful to me are the library and computer laboratories. In the library, I can get almost all books related to my fi eld of studies. The internet connection in the computer laboratory is very fast and this allows me to finish my assignments on time. Currently, I stay at the hall of residence on campus. I find the accommodation and living facilities quite convenient.

I have experienced a lot especially the cultural differences here upon arrival and learnt a lot from others. I now find myself an entirely new person and more helpful towards others.

My favourite lecturer taught us about communication skills and made every class funny and enjoyable. He was also around to help out whenever we had questions. As a student counselor through the Department of Student Affairs, I am involved in helping new students. I love meeting new students and getting to hear about where they are from and their experiences. The student support services, especially the International Office, has been very helpful whenever I have problems and check on me from time to time.

Nilai UC is a whirlwind experience of people, diversity and cultures that has changed my view on life forever.

I found out about Nilai University College through its campus website. The course I am studying at Nilai UC is very challenging, interesting and lively. The topic of greatest interest to me is Engineering Management as the lecturers are experienced and I learn how to manage people. My lecturers are very approachable, dedicated and helpful too. I love this place and the staff are really nice. They are on time at their respective offi ces, which mean they respect their jobs. The students here are very friendly and helpful. I'm studying in Nilai College, located on a 105 acres of land at Bandar Baru Nilai.(Explantory note: Nilai College provides comprehensive facilities. It has pure science and engineering labs, four air-conditioned lecture theatres and a 5-storey Resource Centre housing a 1,600sq. metre library. The environment in Nilai College is very comfortable and suitable for studying. There are a lot of facilities for students-common rooms, a library, free internet access, computer labs and canteen. Whenever I face any difficulties, the international office is there to advise me. There are also qualified lecturers to assist us in every aspect-studies, social problems and so forth. I like studying here.(Explanatory notes : At Nilai, there are excellent sports and recreation facilities. They include tennis courts, a soccer field, a jogging track, outdoor basketball and volleyball courts and a multi-million ringgit air-conditioned indoor sports complex with badminton, basketball and volleyball courts.
